Having been to a number of theme parks around the world, including Disneyworld and Universal Studios, one of the main reasons I could see for the queues was the length of time it took the ride operators to unload and load each ride! On one occasion it took them almost ten minutes to reload the Superman escape, which was unbelievable. After that though, all the queues for everything except the Hammer ride (basically a big swing that swings you upside down in a circle) were over 1 hr long. We got there before the rides started, and were able to get on the superman escape and Wild West flume ride really quickly. We visited Movie World on a Tuesday and expected it to be busy because of school holidays.
